Bill Pollock, PE - President & CEO

Mr. Pollock is founder and President / CEO of Optimation Technology, Inc. He has BS and ME Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a licensed professional engineer in New York and North Carolina. His career in automation and manufacturing spans over forty-five years. In addition to a technical career in automation at Eastman Kodak Company, he served for four years on the faculty of the State University of New York, where he was an Associate Professor of Engineering Technology. In 1992, Mr. Pollock was selected by the Rochester Engineering Society to receive the Leo East Award as Engineer of the Year and in 2010 he received the VandenBrul Award from the Saunders School at Rochester Institute of Technology as Entrepreneur of the Year.  In addition to his responsibilities at Optimation he serves the community, including the boards of organizations such as the Rochester Engineering Society, the Rochester Business Alliance, the Control Systems Integrators Association, WXXI Public Radio and the High Tech Business Council. He is a currently President of the Board of Directors of the Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association (RTMA).

Wendy Smith - VP Engineering & COO Klug Systems by Optimation
Ms. Smith is Vice President of Engineering and COO of Klug Systems by Optimation and sits on the Board of Directors. She has over thirty years’ experience in plant operations and design and engineering services management. Ms. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering with a Business Management minor from Alfred University, including a study abroad semester at the University of Sheffield in England. She held key manufacturing and operations leadership positions for Corning Incorporated. Ms. Smith has broad experience in a variety of manufacturing environments including: continuous flow, batch processes, hot glass, refractory, finishing and assembly. Ms. Smith has broad general management experience with responsibilities for sales, gross margin, operations, manufacturing efficiencies, EH&S, facilities, information technology, supply chain, procurement, logistics, materials, and quality. She has extensive experience with business strategic planning as well as organizational and personnel development.

Ms. Smith is a Past President of the Rochester Engineering Society and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Compeer Rochester. She is also on the President’s Advisory Board at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Jack Burke - VP Optimation Industrial Services

Jack Burke is VP of Optimation Industrial Services with over 35 years’ experience in skilled trades, project management and facilities management. Mr. Burke received his AAS of the State of New York University of Delhi for plumbing, heating and pipefitting, while attending classes at Monroe Community College and Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Optimation, Mr. Burke was a project manager at Eastman Kodak Company. Mr. Burke manages the day-to-day operations at Optimation’s Lexington Facility, as well as the skilled trades division of the company, including trades project managers, estimation and job superintendents. Mr. Burke is also the account manager for a number of different clients, and is also responsible for sales and business development of Optimation Industrial Services.
