ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 3 - Optimation announced today that Electrical Controls Technician Steven Alvito has assumed the role of Apprentice Program Manager. Previous Apprentice Program Manager LeRoy Quick retired at the end of 2014.

While Alvito will remain a part-time electrical controls technician, he will also supervise and assist in the training of all Optimation apprentices. He welcomed a new class of apprentices in January 2015.

“As an electrical/instrumentation mechanic and as an instructor at BOCES, I’ve always enjoyed the role of mentor/teacher. I believe that Optimation needs to continue to bring in young people who possess a strong work ethic and the desire to be superior tradespeople. We need to educate them, not only in their trade disciplines, but to also give them broad exposure to safety, quality, and customer Focus,” said Alvito.

Optimation's apprenticeship program is in its seventh year. For more information, click here.
