As I woke up this morning and realized that today was International Woman’s Day I felt the need to share an awesome experience that I had yesterday.
I had the honor to go back to my alma matter, Alfred University, and participate in a Women in STEM panel discussion for the Undergraduate Engineering Seminar. I was in amazing company with 4 outstanding female engineering alumnae from Alfred University. Each of us are in very different roles and places in our careers, but we all shared our roots back to Alfred and the wonderful experiences that we had and the exceptional education that we received while there!
It reminded me of how I was first introduced to ceramics engineering at Alfred as a teenager. I wrote a blog post about it for Engineers Week last year.
