Millwright Journeyman Worker

*Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools

*Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle and move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.

*Precisely align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, plumb bobs, micrometers, and optical alignment equipment. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures.

*Proficient as a machinist, able to use lathes, mills, and other shop equipment.

* Accomplished at rigging, working with cranes.

* DOT license and welding abilities a plus.

*Awareness of construction site, shop, and general safe practices is demanded.

*Must possess strong work ethic and display high level of craftsmanship.

 

Required Skills: Must be physically able to perform the work of a Millwright: climb and work from heights, work in confined spaces and lift and/or move heavy objects. Will be required to work in hot and cold environments and in all weather conditions. Able to read and write in English. Possess basic computer and communication skills. Regular full-time employee. 40-hour schedule, days. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and occasional travel.
